Work with us!

Welcome to the Molecular Electrochemistry Laboratory!

We offer multidisciplinary research programs encompassing areas of chemistry, materials sciences, engineering, biology, and medicine, which are summarized in three main research lines. Therefore, given their nature and implications, they could provide a convenient and solid platform for the training and development of young researchers in the field of molecular and analytical electrochemistry, nanosciences, biology and engineering.

Moreover, transfer of knowledge within the scientific community will be particularly important and beneficial, as this will give rise to a profoundly constructive dialogue, which is instrumental to improve strategies and methodologies. Dissemination of the results will be primarily pursued through publications in specialized journals and international conferences, but also through magazines and seminars to expose results and conclusions to a wider audience.

Currently, we have open positions for BSc and MSc students on the following topic:

  • Study and characterization of novel electrochemiluminescent dyes

  • Biosensing platforms aimed at detecting (1) cancer biomarkers or (2) therapeutic/illegal drugs (TIDE project funded by Ca' Foscari University of Venice through SPIN 2021 call)

  • Development of novel catalytic nanostructured materials for hydrogen/oxygen evolution and carbon dioxide reduction

All the above mentioned projects are carried out in collaboration with several research group in Italy and abroad (Europe and north America)

One more thing...

The Molecular Electrochemistry Laboratory, MECLab, together with the Research Group of Nanomaterials for Green and Energy Applications, encourages fellowship applications in the areas of Physical and Analytical Chemistry, and Material Sciences.

In particular, the research activity of MECLab focuses on the study and application of molecular electrochemistry to develop multidisciplinary research programs encompassing areas of chemistry, materials sciences, engineering, biology, and medicine.
